The rental market is very competitive and properties usually get snatched up quite quickly. This is why it pays to be prepared and organised before you make the move. Before you begin to view properties it’s important to know what is required to create a successful application that will WOW the Property Manager and most importantly the owner.

Tips that may help your application get in first

  • Set up rental alerts on www.realestate.com.au and follow our Instagram as these are the first places we upload new listings

  • Attend the first open inspection of the property and introduce yourself to the Property Manager

  • Confirm open inspection times the day before you view the property

  • Make sure you meet all the requirements on the application e.g. enough identification, all previous rental history provided, all pet information supplied

  • Let your rental and personal references know to expect contact from us

  • The more information you provide the easier and the fast it is for agents to process

Tips to a successful application

  • Full contact information for each applicant including mobile numbers and date of birth

  • Your current residential address

  • If applying with a pet, we require the breed and registration details.

  • Registration numbers of all vehicles of the applicants

  • Personal References: It’s best to have two personal references minimum

  • Employment Details: Payroll contact details as we are required to call and confirm all employment

  • Realestate.com website link to the current property listed for sale if a current homeowner

  • Current homeowner - copy of Council Rates to confirm proof of ownership

  • Self-employed - letter from Accountant verifying income or copy of Tax Return Lodgement

IDENTIFICATION - 100 points required

  • Proof of Income/Pay Slips (Compulsory)

  • Current Bank Statement (Compulsory)

  • Centrelink Statement (Compulsory)

  • Proof of Address (Electricity / Phone Bill) - 10 points

  • Photo ID (Drivers License / 18+ card) - 40 points each

  • Passport or Birth Certificate - 40 / 10 points

  • Bank / Medicare Cards - 10 points each

  • Copy of Residential Rates Notices - 10 points each
